Born in Welverdiend in 1966. He started working at the Londolozi lodge in 1994 and 3 years later he joined Singita lodge in February 1997. At Singita Welding started as a porter. Then he was promoted several times as follows;
He joined the airport management at Singita and finally in 2008 he moved to Project Management which is a second branch for Human resource management. He became the first black person to manage the staff’s welfare budget and clients’ community development funds. It was at this time in October 2009 that we met Welding and he started to take care of
our 10 children through his work at Singita.
He left Singita in July 2010 and after that he has been working full time with our Nosa project.
Thanks to Welding who is a local person and who has worked his way up to what he is today, the Nosa project has been possible to carry through. Welding is a great inspiration to all our children and to the children of Justicia, and he shows that if you have courage and work hard, you can get far.
